Ständard

Ständard makes a triumphant debut with his debut releases, a solo creation of anthemic rock with distant, dreamy sounds, melancholic melodies and retro, phased synth sounds reminiscent of 90s, futuristic Rock. Ständard explores the boundaries of genre with a refreshing creativity, pulling from a wealth of inspirations to piece together his eclectic sound. Songs shift from extravagant, distorted Rock on “ SHARP いち” to more stripped back, Avant-Garde reflections on ‘#404’, showcasing the different forms Ständard’s musicality takes.

After a first professional life, Ständard decides it is time to get into his teenage dream: becoming a musician and release music! In 2020, at 40 years-old. With several songs already composed, Ständard built his home-studio and started looking for his own recipe, a subtle mix of electronic and Rock ambiances.

Ständard shares: “Inspiration can be anything, from musical ideas, textures of sound, rhythmic ideas, colors, emotions, anything that I can translate into music is inspiration... I compose, write and arrange by myself so I can let the music where I want it to go."

After a first single “Lost in Translation” released in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, Ständard released the first single ‘Maelström’ from his debut E.P ‘Last minute’ in September 2021. In the “Maelstrom” music video, he strolls in Paris completely empty, an emblem of the time we were in. Next single “SHARP いち" was released in January 2022. Stay tuned for more!
