Falling somewhere between <a href="spotify:artist:6CWTBjOJK75cTE8Xv8u1kj">Feist</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1tqZaCwM57UFKjWoYwMLrw">the Cardigans</a>, Sweden’s Standfast are a two-piece band featuring vocalist Suzanne Standfast and guitarist Patrick Tucker aka Patrick Standfast. Their self-titled debut album appeared in 2001 on the EMI label and featured the single “Carcrashes.” The single would be released in 20 countries across Europe, sending the band on a support tour that would last for years. A new album would be delayed until 2007 when Beneath and Beyond appeared on the group’s own <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22SideCho%22">SideCho</a> label. In 2009, the album would be re-released in America on the label <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Cheap+Lullaby%22">Cheap Lullaby</a>. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
