Stasis was originally formed in 2001, and ended their run in 2011. Throughout their stay atop the Lehigh Valley, PA rock scene had a number of incredible musicians join the ranks. The original line-up consisted of Damian Gessel, Aaron Hallett, Sean Montross, Dustin Schoof and Joshua Montross. It would go on to feature names like Steve Harman, Scott Tice, & Dave Uecker.
Beginning in 2006, Stasis transitioned with a new, aggressive sound, and a featured new lead vocalist Julia Glenn. The line-up core was in-tact with guitarist Aaron Hallett, drummer Sean Montross, and bassist Josh Guerrero, who would be replaced in 2009 by bassist Chris Penyak. Stasis has been compared to such acts as Paramore and Evanescence, with twists of Metallica and Breaking Benjamin in the mix. By combining these influences, Stasis has an undeniably unique sound all their own. The group has been honing their craft since 2005. Their first album with Julia Glenn, “Lost in a Nightmare” from 2008, showcases their talent with twelve tracks all as good as the last.
Their latest album "Believe" (released in 2010) made a definitive impact when it peaked at #37 as a Bestseller on Amazon for Rock albums, and #102 on iTunes!
With a career that included a performance at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, this regional act was one of many around the world that had the music, and the talent - but was never "discovered."
Stasis' final regular performance was in August of 2011, with one benefit performance in 2013.
