State Lines is an indie artist from Kansas City, whose eclectic and experimental sound combines elements of neo-soul, hip-hop, and indie folk. The duo of Samuel Hood and Sammy Syrett came together in 2019 when they recorded the song “Kids” from their debut EP, “We Were Kids.” Evoking feelings of love, loss, and nostalgia, their music draws inspiration from artists such as Biig Piig and Arlo Parks.
