A multi-faceted artist and all-around music lover, the Berlin-based singer, songwriter and producer has adopted a limitless approach to music, which has in return seen him build up an impressively unique, diverse, and deeply imaginative catalogue of releases.

Born Vova Tumasiants in Donetsk, Ukraine, State Space draws inspiration from a diverse array of sources. From the 90’s Brit Rock sound of <a href="spotify:artist:2DaxqgrOhkeH0fpeiQq2f4" data-name="Oasis">Oasis</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2cGwlqi3k18jFpUyTrsR84" data-name="The Verve">The Verve</a> to <a href="spotify:artist:36QJpDe2go2KgaRleHCDTp" data-name="Led Zeppelin">Led Zeppelin</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1dfeR4HaWDbWqFHLkxsg1d" data-name="Queen">Queen</a> to Pop and RnB icons <a href="spotify:artist:31TPClRtHm23RisEBtV3X7" data-name="Justin Timberlake">Justin Timberlake</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3fMbdgg4jU18AjLCKBhRSm" data-name="Michael Jackson">Michael Jackson</a> and even 80&#39;s music, it’s no surprise that Vova has adopted a genre-fluid approach to his own musical creations.

While one side of State Space’s musical identity pivots around epic guitar riffs, groove, and his powerfully passionate vocal palette, other releases showcase a gentler side. These often see him combining emotive lyrical content with strong thematic echoings of romance and melancholia. It can often get deep, with his music exploring the tragedy of war, the power of kindness, and the continuous pursuit of dreams.

Since learning the keys of the piano and strings of the guitar during childhood, Vova has gone on to garner a great understanding of music, while becoming a true believer that without the confines of genres, he is free to create whatever enters his head. This philosophy helps him to feel at peace, not only in music, but also in life. “Love. Peace. Music” is the motto that grounds everything State Space does.
