Statues of Sinking Men is the narrative driven, Electronic/Alternative project of Jeddah based artist Abdulmalik Zubailah.
Rooted in the sounds of harsh industrial synths and a touch of alternative rock, SOSM's songs tell stories of death through the experiences of protagonists who have sunk deep into the unknown.
With the release of a self-titled debut album in 2018, followed by two more instrumental EPs, Statues of Sinking Men have cemented it's sound as a focused, story driven project.
It's experimental, unmethodical, and broad. What you hear today might be completely different from what you hear tomorrow, all for the sole purpose of serving the narrative.
