Steamy Groin of the Pregnant Piisami

Steamy Groin of the Pregnant Piisami a.k.a. SGPP was formed in 2014 in Mäntsälä, Finland and is often considered to be the most influential group of the city's punk scene that surfaced in the early 2010's. The band started out making raw and somewhat uncanny albums and EP's that were first posted in Soundcloud.
The band's route to success was rapid and against all odds they reached a larger audience after making new, remastered versions of their two first releases in 2015. The remastered versions of the songs were compound in the album ´´Valot Syttyy - the best of SGPP´´
By deciding that the band would not like to play live shows to a public, they were acknowledged by the punk scene and music lovers across Finland. SGPP has knowingly performed only three times in it's career span.
After the highly acknowledged album ''Valot Syttyy - the best of SGPP'' and the appraised ''Nobelander EP'', the band reached it's peak of success with the 2016 album ''Starin kautta kotiin'', an album which included songs like ''Jari ei voi istua kesällä paljussa'' and ''Ketä tänään (painetaan).''
After the 2016 album hype had started to regress, SGPP decided to call it quits because of the descending fanbase at the time. As a farewell to fans, the band started out ''Tampere-saga'', a three-piece art performance and celebration of the band's short but electrifying career, which included two songs and a farewell show in Järvenpää.
Despite calling it quits in 2016, SGPP kept on releasing albums.
