Ştefan Baghiu is a poet & musician from Romania. He currently teaches Literary Theory at the Lucian Blaga University in Sibiu, Romania. As a poet he published his debut collection in 2013. As a musician he is engaged in several projects, mainly focused on combining minimal and electronic music with Romanian and foreign contemporary poetry, such as Teona Galgoțiu, Kali Agnes, Deniz Otay, Cătălina Stanislav, Alex Văsieș, Maria Miruna Solomon, Dan Sociu, Ștefan Manasia, and Emily Berry.
His debut EP was released in 2019 by Ponza Records (Italian label built by Hostox), and his second release in 2020, Maine, at groove.ro (Abel Soleil’s label) featured collabs with Marcu Rares. He released other EPs (Cerulean, Palimpsests vol. I, and Palimpsests vol. II) for Inunct Music (Verzila’s label founded in 2020) and collaborated with artists such as Lucide, Octave, Vlad Bretan, MTPS, Jemmi, and Papilla for several other labels (NFS, Unknown Series, Podvodo Records).
