Stefan Christian Schenkel is a musician and composer from southwest Germany, born 1980.
He started to write Synthwave and videogame inspired music in 1996 and continued with his Metal project TimeMage until 2013. Nine albums have been released within this period.
Since 2013 he’s working solo again and has released 8 LPs under "Stefan C. Schenkel. The music is often considered as Synthwave, New Age, or Electronica, but there are symphonic and proggy elements featured as well.
Stefan‘s latest project is called "The Bionic Protector“, which is mainly considered as Synth Metal, or Dark Synthwave. Again, there are a lot of other influences. Many are from the 80s and 90s, but he’s not scared to work with modern elements as well.
