Community and culture sit at the core of everything that Adelaide-based artist Stefan Rossi does. A proud father, music and family are the two most important things in his life, with both driving him forward. A veteran of the Australian music industry, he’s been making music for more than a decade, building a passionate fanbase, and performing at festivals like Groovin The Moo and WOMADelaide.
His music is a reflection of his Italian/Australian heritage, and he wears both cultures proudly on his sleeve. Delve a little deeper, though, and Stefan’s music reveals itself to be an exploration of the mind, and how it can either empower us, or entrap us. He uses music as a way of discussing mental health candidly, and he’s a big believer in using his platform for good.
The world of Stefan Rossi doesn’t begin and end with recorded music, though. Taking inspiration from Neo Realism, aka the Golden Age of Italian cinema, his visuals are sun-soaked, and his live shows have rich narratives weaved throughout them. Taking inspiration from the likes of Mac Miller, Tyler, The Creator and Kendrick Lamar, Stefan is a storyteller, through and through — and the world of Stefan Rossi is ever-evolving. There’s always something new for fans, recent or long-time, to sink their teeth into.
Heading into 2025, Stefan’s vision remains as clear as ever. Determined to build a life for his family through his pursuit of music, he’s preparing for a string of releases over the next 12 months.
