Stefano Zeni was born in Milan on December 30, 1974. He graduated in violin from Trento Conservatory in 1997. He postgraduated in Jazz from Brescia Conservatory in 2004.
He is currently working with the following musicians: Ellade Bandini, Gianluigi Trovesi, Boris Savoldelli, Marco Remondini, Mario Arcari and many others.
Past collaborations include those with Mauro Pagani, Eugenio Finardi, Antonella Ruggiero, Fabio Concato, Sandro Gibellini and many others.
He has been mentioned for six years in a row on the annual jazz magazine JAZZIT in the best jazz violinists category (2013-2018).
Passaggi Circolari (yvp music, Germany - 2011) is the debut studio album by Stefano Zeni.
In 2017, he collaborated with ROCKIN1000 as "violin guru" (string section leader) in Seoul and NYC; a musical event in which 300 musicians played simultaneously soul artist Andra Day's song "Rise up".
The collaboration as leader of the string section continues in 2019 with a concert of 1000 musicians in the Frankfurt stadium.
"Parallel Paths" (Zanetti Records, Italy - 2018) is the first solo album by Stefano Zeni.
Stefano was able to secure two prestigious collaborations: the American vibraphonist Mike Mainieri, already founder of the band Steps Ahead and the Italian vocal performer Boris Savoldelli.
He works in recording studios collaborating with a lot of different artists.
