Born in Italy's northernmost city, Cologne- based Stella Tonon presents her exciting debut album "MEZZANOTTE", in which she draws on her Italian-Portuguese roots and her musical past of Rock, Neo- Folk, Jazz and Blues. At the centre: the Italian "Canzone" of the 40s to 60s, which Stella Tonon and her band interweave with their own compositions in a virtuoso way, thus giving the Programme a unique, powerful touch that moves between Tom Waits, Paolo Conte, The Doors and Italo-folk.
