STELLARHEAD is a Indie/Alternative Band from Germany (Frankfurt and Marburg area). When the pandemic started in 2020, 5 friends came together in a basement studio for jam sessions and creative experiments. At first just for fun, but soon the songs and sketches started to flow and the band was formed. Serge, Chris & Sven are cousins. Manuel and Marco very appreciated friends.
The unique Stellarhead sound approach contains acoustic guitar based songwriting with spherical, sometimes noisy soundscapes, electric guitars, real drums combined with electro beats and manipulated voices. All of the band members can sing and usually master more than one instrument. An early listener once said the band sounds like Bon Iver vibes with War on Drugs guitars and Franc Ocean beats.
The songs are often written from a place of doubt, grief and the grey areas of life, but always with a glimpse of hope.
