Formed in 2002, vocalist/guitarist Shawn Christensen, bassist Amanda Tannen, guitarist Michael Jurin and drummer Arthur Kremer played the Lower East Side with <a href="spotify:artist:0epOFNiUfyON9EYx7Tpr6V" data-name="The Strokes">The Strokes</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3WaJSfKnzc65VDgmj2zU8B" data-name="Interpol">Interpol</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3LTXHU3DhiYzGIgF2PP8Q8" data-name="The Raveonettes">The Raveonettes</a> before releasing their eponymously titled full-length debut thrugh RCA and TisWas Records. After a 50-date England/U.S. tour with <a href="spotify:artist:0C0XlULifJtAgn6ZNCW2eu" data-name="The Killers">The Killers</a> in 2004, the group released their follow-up, Harmonies for the Haunted in May of 2005. In 2009, stellastarr* self-released their final album, Civilized.
