She likes to think of herself as SYNTHESIS…the act of fusing distinct entities to a new, unique creation.
Throughout her formal education and professional career, Stephanie has taken on almost every challenge to enhance her skills and expand her repertoire. From marching band and chorus to musical theater to a cappella musical director/arranger/producer and front woman for electric, jazz, house and soul bands, Stephanie’s goal is to destroy the separation between musical classifications and distinguish herself as a talent to be reckoned with. Fate and friendships brought her spoken voice to her first set of major label commercial recordings: on the intro for Who Is Jill Scott (Hidden Beach/Sony) and in interludes for Patti LaBelle’s When A Woman Loves (MCA). Another childhood friend and producer convinced her to try her hand at writing and singing house music, which has led to a 15 year-long collaborative relationship with production company Steal Vybe. Her songs have now been released worldwide and brought her into creative partnerships with a wide variety of house music producers/remixers including Lefunken, Marlon D, Quincy Harris, Ezel, Frankie Feliciano, Opolopo and Joey Negro. While developing a global audience on the back of her releases, Stephanie was also called to serve as a resident vocalist for The Clinic, a Singaporean dance club featuring house music, making her both a national and international soul diva.
