Stephen’s Shore Jangle Pop started out as a two man project by Viktor Sjödin and Erik J Undéhn. They had both been playing in other bands before but when they started to write songs as Stephen’s Shore they felt that their musical expressions was a perfect match.
One of the first tracks they recorded was “Let’s Go Home” that is featured on the 7” Ep Ocean Blue released by legendary New York indie lable Cloudberry Records in 2016.
September love was the first full-length album and was recorded by Isak Sjöholm in Svartsjölandet studio 2018, and the bands first release at spanish indie lable Meretorio records.
The Brisbane Radio Ep was recorded in Ingrid Studios in Stockholm with Johan Gustavsson from The Hives.
The Two following Ep’s ”Green” 2021
and ”Neptune” 2023 was recorded in Stockholm with Lars Fredrik Swahn from Dungen.
Stephen’s shore are Viktor Sjödin guitar and vocals, Mattias Bergqvist drums and vocals,
P-A Blomqvist guitar and Johan Dittmer bass.
Erik Stackpole Undehn is now located in Los Angeles.
What joins these guys together musically is the love for jangly guitar, moody pop songs, skateboarding. If there was a musical anthem for the 60’s California it would be a perfect description for the inspiration that drives Stephen’s Shore in their songwriting and musical atmosphere.
