Sterbhaus

Sterbhaus is a Stockholm/Sweden based outfit dealing in Metal bordering between Thrash, Black, Death, Heavy, Progressive... Yeah... Well, You all already hear where this is heading, right?

All these genres and labels and to get a fair idea of what the band is about we have to toss around four or five of them. So why not settle by describing Sterbhaus as honest timeless Metal (neither retro nor modern) - with all the aforementioned subgenres tucked in there, spiced with a heavy dose of charm, humour and topped with a spittingly fierce lyrical agenda. And let's call it "Metal Deluxe"!

Sterbhaus started out in 2007 as a five piece but sees the release of their debut “Angels For Breakfast …And God for Lunch” as a quartet in 2012 as the starting point. Having toured with Vader, Melechesh and Shining, Chile and played several prestigious festivals, the band also sports terrific videos (check 'em out!)

The band is the home of Marcus Hammarström (prev Elvira Madigan, Shining), Jimmy Ahovalli and Erik Röjås (Ondskapt, Decadence) and managed - among other feats to snag the #1 spot for the physical sales charts in Sweden for the Live album “Necrostabbing at Göta Källare” on the week of it's release in 2021.

While the band announced in 2019 that it would dissolve in 2020, 2025 will be as busy as ever with a possible swansong release in "Next Akin to Chaos".

If this really is the end - it will be an ending like no other!
