Stereo Club is a 5 piece indie rock band hailing from Johannesburg.
The band was born out of back and forth voice notes of catchy melodies and a flurry of nostalgic lyrics of a time not so long ago. The outfit comprises of Ricky Chasumba (vocals), Brad Oliver (guitar), Tish Singh (guitar), Luke Woolf-Coote (bass) and Marc du Plessis (Drums).
And our sound? It’s an amalgamation of 2000s inspired indie chord progressions with persisting lead melodies accompanied by bass grooves and drum lines to get your hips swaying and feet moving.
Stereo Club holds the idea that the band is more than its members and is equal part friends, family and supporters, without which, they might as well pack it up!
In a world where everything seems to be so serious so much of the time, Stereo Club does its best to not take themselves too seriously.
Carefree, a little weird, just the way we like it.
