Stereopolina is the solo synth-pop project of Karina Morgunova, launched in 2018. Originally from Kazan, Karina moved to Saint Petersburg in early 2018.

In her music, Karina blends red disco, post-punk, retrowave, and darkwave, taking listeners on a nostalgic journey across three decades — the '80s, '90s, and 2000s.

Karina writes all of her lyrics, music, and arrangements herself, staying true to the spirit of DIY culture. Her musical inspirations include Agata Kristi, Super Girls & Romantic Boys, and Soviet-era new wave.
She has performed at festivals such as STEREOLETO, VK Fest, Motherland, XX Moscow Synthetic Snow Festival, and Moscow Music Week.

Stereopolina has participated in tribute compilations dedicated to «Tarakany!», «Kino», and «Kolibri», collaborated with Yandex Market, the fashion brand Guess, and opened for Molchat Doma and Aigel. Together with Coma Brewery, she released her own branded beer, Stereobooze.

Her releases have appeared on year-end lists by media outlets like Afisha Daily, post-punk.com, The Flow, National Public Radio, and Rules of Life. She’s also been interviewed by Esquire, SRSLY, Sobaka.ru, Burning Hut, TASS, MTS Live, featured in Sapsan magazine and the S7 Airlines in-flight journal.

She has released 10 music videos, two of which were nominated for the Berlin Music Video Awards.

For now, Stereopolina’s discography includes 4 albums, 4 compilations, 3 EPs, 10 singles, 32 collaborations, and numerous remixes.
