It all started picking out Auld Lang Syne on a toy piano on New Years Eve in the middle of a crowd of inebriated grown ups. I had never touched a keyboard before and was maybe, four? I got the bug and much to my parent's dismay, brought a violin home from school. Scratch scratch.
I pestered and pestered for a piano and after a few years, they relented.
I got a paper round and after a few more years bought a flute.
I went to uni, found guitars and started songwriting.
I grew up, had kids, joined an orchestra, and discovered how much I enjoy writing contemporary classical.
I now I have a trumpet and fortunately live in a detached home with double glazing.
