STEVE JULIEN - FORMER LEAD GUITARIST FOR SANDY WEST OF THE RUNAWAYS (JOAN JETT)
In the late 90’s a mutual friend introduced Steve Julien to Sandy West, the former drummer of The Runaways - a band which included Joan Jett, Lita Ford and Cherie Currie. Steve and Sandy immediately hit it off and began writing and rehearsing new songs. They reformed The Sandy West Band, which already had a following and booking contacts. The Band played many shows in Hollywood and throughout Southern California (with special appearances from other previous “Runaways” members) and at one point had a Tour Bus to accommodate the act.
After a bout with Cancer, Sandy West the music icon and drumming legend passed away in 2006.
Fast forward to 2018 - Steve Julien creates new original music and forms the live band Bronco Wild. He meets drummer, Jerry Olsen who recorded with The Cars and played for other Grammy winning artists. Jerry infuses power to the group and adds energy to the music. After an extensive search the band found creative bassist, Mike Paquette who had experience touring with various groups. Mike adds the groove with his solid timing and flair for new riffs and backing vocals.
Together Steve Julien and Bronco Wild brings new original melodic rock music, with a taste of familiarly to the listener that is sure to bring delight to audiences. Listen, watch music videos and visit often because new releases are on the way!
