Steve Leon & The Accusations mix indie, country and folk in an adventurous and unique way. The Antwerp-based band bring you indie songwriting wrapped up in country and folk arrangements, complete with lilting violin, weeping pedal steel and urgent mandolin chops. The resulting sound has a good chance of appealing to fans of bands like Wilco, Bright Eyes, Green On Red/Chuck Prophet or The Mountain Goats.
In May 2023, Steve Leon & the Accusations released their debut EP "Louche" to critical acclaim. The band's first album “Borrowed time bonanza” will be out on Off Label Records on November 8th 2024, showcasing a growth in sound and dynamics that reflects their ever tightening bond as a group of musicians and friends.
All recordings were made straight to 16 track analog tape without any editing, reflecting the band's live sound in the most honest way possible. This was a very conscious decision, made in an effort to preserve human imperfection in these times of glossed over productions and AI generated music.
