Award-winning singer/songwriter. Described by R2 Magazine as having 'a direct route to the heart' and by FATEA Magazine as 'a genuine protest singer, up there with the likes of Billy Bragg, Phil Ochs and Ewan MacColl'.
Steve has an enviable reputation as a talented and dynamic recording artist and performer. With writing that ranges from fragile reflections on love and loss to blistering commentaries on present circumstances, his songs pack an emotional punch, both on record and on stage.
His 2016 studio album, 'Somewhere Between' garnered the coveted FATEA Magazine 'Album of the Year' award, along with the same from FolkWords in the Male Solo category.
Following on from the release of his critically acclaimed live album in 2019 ('Alone in the Dark'), late Autumn 2022 sees the release of Steve's long-awaited new studio album, 'What Tomorrow Knows'. Steve writes that "This record pulls no punches where punches ought not to be pulled, but I believe there is also an empathy and depth of compassion to it that I strive to capture in everything I do, on record and on stage. I think that the new album represents this perhaps better than any recorded material I've released to date.".
