Born and raised as a Belgian with Filipino roots, Steven Van Peborgh started to sing at a very early age.
Over the years, he participated from local karaoke contests, open jam-sessions to singing contests and tv-shows in Belgium, such as ‘Talent Der Lage Landen’ in 2011 and 2012, ‘The Voice’ in 2014 and ‘Regi Academy’ in 2021.
After his participation at the Regi Academy, Steven joined the group of Regi (REGI LIVE) as a guest singer, alongside with other artists such as Camille, OLIVIA, Pauline, Pommelien Thijs and Jake Reese, for a total of six liveshows until near the end of 2021.
Between in November 2023 and January 2024, He participated and starred as Bruno Mars in the first season of VTM’s Starstruck and ended up on 2nd place in the finals, shared alongside with Billie Eilish.
Inspired by a wide variety of musical influences such as Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Depeche Mode, Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda, Queens of the Stone Age,… he started to work on his own songs.
Now adopting the name as ‘Steve Sonic’, taking the first steps in this exciting adventure; he collaborated with Vaelocity for releasing their debut single together on the 17th of June in 2022: Lifetime.
His latest single: On My Own, has been released on 14th of May in 2024.
