Steve Todd

My name is Steve Todd and I’m a songwriter in Atlanta, GA. Most to my ideas for songs come from my past and present experiences, friendships, love, and Mother Nature. In fact, one my songs “Slacker Patrol” is all about my humorous adventures with my friends at Boy Scout camp growing up. I grew up in a large family with strong values that taught me the importance of hard work.

Since, I grew up in Georgia, I began to listen to classic southern rock bands like Charlie Daniels, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Allman Brothers. As a teenager my musical taste grew into Rock’n Roll and I enjoyed listening to Boston, Queen, Van Halen, Def Leppard, and the Steve Miller Band. In fact, my #1 band is Boston and my #1 song is “More Than a Feeling” from their debut album. Today, even though I listen to pop, country, and classical music, my true roots are founded in Rock’n Roll.

I feel very passionate about my songwriting and try to convey the sensitivity and warmth from growing up in the south with a rocker’s edge. I enjoy telling stories in unique and fresh ways. I like taking the listener on a new and adventurous journey. My latest song, “Country Song in Reverse” is all about conveying the simple message that is found in most Country music but told in a different way. I’ve written a total of 10 songs that are waiting to be produced.
