Steve William Charles, the renegade troubadour hailing from Michigan’s rugged Upper Peninsula, spins gritty yarns of life on the edge with his outlaw style country along with his interpretation of 60's & 70's Rock & Roll. With a unique voice and a heart full of wanderlust, he weaves tales of love, rebellion, and redemption that echo through the backroads and honky-tonks of America. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Waylon Jennings, & Billy Joe Shaver along with the outlaw spirit of Gram Parsons and Chris Hillman, Steve’s music is a raw and unapologetic exploration of the human condition, with a touch of the psychedelic country sound reminiscent of the 1970's & 80's, from the wild ride of “Broken Cowboy" to the haunting lament of “Mornings.” With each soul-stirring lyric and twang of his guitar, he invites listeners to join him on a journey through the heartland of their own soul, where the highways stretch as far as the imagination and the only law is the call of the open road.
