Indie and pop from Germany—for fans of <a href="spotify:artist:3jOstUTkEu2JkjvRdBA5Gu" data-name="Weezer">Weezer</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3hozsZ9hqNq7CoBGYNlFTz" data-name="OK Go">OK Go</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3Ayl7mCk0nScecqOzvNp6s" data-name="Jimmy Eat World">Jimmy Eat World</a>.
As they regularly feel compelled to put a stamp on their music for family, friends and event organizers, STEVEN COLE & THE SANDWICH LIFE simply refer to their genre as indie pop. Even though the sound is more complex than that—like the explosion of flavors in a finely topped sandwich: indie pop is just the bread, the top and bottom. Everything that tastes delicious is packed in between: a piece of rock, a slice of pop-punk, a wedge of folk—garnished with a portion of surf and seasoned with a pinch of alternative-progressive spice mix. Every bite is different.
However, there are rocking riffs, danceable beats and catchy hooks to sing along to. In their songs, they deal with the confusion of everyday life. Motivate one to not be worn down by social expectations. Remind one to live in the moment. <a href="spotify:track:6yQxsWSaHPrTefirwGewgD" data-name="Drunk Nights">Drunk Nights</a>. Warm rays of sunshine on bare skin. The long-awaited festival summer. Joyful reunions around the campfire.
