Steven Ramphal was born in Suriname, moved to Guyana at a very young age.
His love for music grew as he got older, he started professionally singing at the age of 17 with the Shakti Strings Band.
Then became a solo artist in 2018.
In 2018, he was the 2nd runner up for the Guyana Chutney Monarch, that pushed him to better himself and go after what he wanted. In 2019, he was the Guyana Chutney Monarch and also defying odds and became the first runner up for the Guyana Soca Monarch.
In 2020, he was unable to regain the title because of being ill, despite the circumstances he was determined to go and defend his monarchy, he was placed the first runner up.
His content consist of music about love and unity, trying to bring everyone together because no matter the color of our skin, we all bleed the same blood.
