StevenKilledTheEgo, formerly known as Vet Martinez, is a rapper and songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona. Steven grew up surrounded by drugs and violence, which led him to seek a creative outlet for his pain and misfortune. With both parents working long hours, Steven spent most of his adolescent life alone, but he found solace in music.


In 2007, Steven befriended rapper Marquel Deljuan while they were attending elementary school together. Through Marquel, Steven was introduced to the music industry and began spending time at the studio owned by Marquel's father, Iroc Daniels. Despite his newfound friendships and connections, Steven joined the military after high school, where he spent his time training and honing his writing skills.


After completing his military service, Steven adopted the stage name "Vet Martinez" and released his debut album, "Find Luv" in 2019, followed by his second album, "Beautiful Mess, Vol. 1" in 2020. However, in 2021, Steven made the decision to rebrand himself as StevenKilledTheEgo.


In 2022, Steven collaborated with Toronto-based producer duo, Seamstress, to release his third album, "Last Man On Earth."


Despite his success, StevenKilledTheEgo continues to push himself creatively, with a new album on the horizon. Through his music, StevenKilledTheEgo aims to inspire others to find their own way out of difficult circumstances and to pursue their passions, no matter what challenges they may face along the way.
