Stevie Rockit

Stevie Rockit, originally Stevie T, comes from humble beginnings in the Windy City. The young artist grew up in the church, singing in his grandmother's choir but dabbling in contemporary artists such as Michael Jackson and Lil Wayne. He doesn't just value vocal excellence but maintaining a presence through dance. Naturally, his inspirations in that regard were Usher and Chris Brown. With a smooth voice, boyish charm, and sweet falsetto, his surname is apt. He released his very first single "Space Lovin" in 2010, catching the ear of Grammy award-winning producer Ricco Lumpkins. Stevie went on to join the group Circle 7 who delivered local radio hit "It's Whateva." After a short stint together, Stevie went back out on his own in 2011. His first mixtape 'I am Stevie T' featured production from Lumpkins and earned placement on DJ Leggs' mixtape. 2013 caught the eye of G.O.O.D Music's Malik Yusef who encouraged the name change that brought Stevie to the Rockit days. The unfortunate passing of his grandmother led him to Los Angeles, where he committed himself to take this music thing to the next level. 2015 was highlighted by the June release of single "Picture Perfect" earning recognition from World Star Hip Hop and various other reputable blogs. Now we await the currently unnamed debut EP. Above it all, Stevie wants people to understand his embraces the process even after all the time he was put in. He lives by the motto "Rome was not built overnight, neither will my success.”
