Raised in the noisy Ruhr area with Swedish roots in her family, Stina embodies a love for both, yet never feels like being at home in just one place. This tension gives rise to an inner energy, fuelled by longing, daydreaming, and a constant process of rediscovery. It is this emotional landscape that forms the foundation of Holmquist’s music - one that resonates so powerfully with listeners.

Alongside her own concerts across Germany and neighbouring countries, Stina has supported indie greats like Giant Rooks and Leoniden, played acclaimed festivals such as Reeperbahn, Orange Blossom, and Juicy Beats, and received a popNRW nomination for Best Newcomer. In October 2025, WDR Rockpalast will present Stina Holmquist live with Cari Cari in Bonn.
