STOMP are a hard-hitting five-piece band from Newcastle, bringing youthful, relentless energy, and a fresh take on grunge-rock. Formed in 2024 by best mates Tom, Jacob, Charlie, Teddy and Josh, STOMP channel the raw spirit of 90s icons like Silverchair, Alice in Chains and Queens of the Stone Age, while carving out a sound that’s entirely their own.
From day one, these sixteen-year-olds knew who they were and what they wanted to say—loud, unapologetic, and real. Winners of regional high school comp Bandwidth 2024, STOMP are quickly gaining traction across Newcastle and the Central Coast, backed by a reputation for explosive live shows and technical skill beyond their years.
Within a month of it’s release, their debut single "Behind the Veil" clocked over 20,000 streams on Spotify, with more originals to be released in 2025. Hailing from the same home-town that gave rise to Silverchair and The Screaming Jets, STOMP are ready to follow in their footsteps—and leave their own mark on the Australian music scene.
