Stoner Kings is a heavy rock act with a focus on good, catchy riffs, spiced with almost punk-like attitude and 70's hard rock sensibilities.
Formed as the brainchild of Finnish cult celebrity, acclaimed European pro wrestler and band vocalist/songwriter Michael ”StarBuck” Majalahti in 2000, Stoner Kings released their debut album Brimstone Blues in 2001 (re-released on Massacre Records in 2002). In 2006, Stoner Kings released their second album, Fuck The World, via StarBuck's Rebel Breed Recordings label. FTW featured Finnish names from the metal world like Marco Hietala of Nightwish and Alexi Laiho of Children of Bodom guesting on the album.
Stoner Kings have always been a show band, stemming from vocalist StarBuck's background in the world of pro wrestling, where he is a three-time European champion. The band has played across Europe in places like Germany, Austria, Estonia and Belgium in addition to Finland.
In 2016, StarBuck restarted the band after an eight year hiatus, complete with a new line-up, featuring Majalahti himself once again on vocals, original drummer JJ Kontoniemi on drums, Rude Rothstén on bass and Joonas Vepsä on guitar. The band played their comeback gig at Helsinki's On The Rocks club on November 3, 2016.
Stoner Kings released their third album, entitled Alpha Male, on May 17, 2019.
Mikko Metsäruusi joined the band as drummer in 2019, replacing Kontoniemi.
A new album, Hive Mind, is scheduled for release during the summer of 2025.
