It’s not easy being StrangeBird. For Brittney it means hitwoman-like pitch accuracy while searching for a satisfying gluten free dessert. For Michael it means grabbing a low hanging fruit and yelling “I got fruit,” while pushing buttons on a keyboard. Moreover (because who doesn’t like to say moreover), Brittney and Michael teach music and love it. Despite the ebb and flow that is life, they are fixtures in a fixtureless landscape. Like two lone light poles in a barren suburban Bay Area town, one tall, one not so tall, they shine their incandescent light to all who choose to be lit. And it is lit.
Like many of the great artists before them, they are not bound by release dates or the pressures of media corporations or the throngs of fans who say, “give us more.” Just because they don’t have fans doesn’t stop them from making these claims. Big media, take note, we are ready to negotiate.
But seriously they are humans who make music. And if there is a more important endeavor, please keep it to yourself because to us it’s the most important thing.
