Strangefates is a band from England UK, founded by brothers Dave and Rob Szczerba in 1978, continuing to the present.
The band combines instrumental and experimental rock music with 3 dimensional artwork. Strangefates blend acoustic, electric, and electronic sounds together, usually with the driving force of guitar, bass and drums linked with ethereal soundscapes.
The band provides a combination of human and machine dynamic ear wiggling experience. There is an ever growing set of recordings spanning use of media including 4 & 8 track analogue tape, 16 track digital recorders right up to the all familiar Digital Audio Workstations. Their work demonstrates a range of styles. The most recent albums combine electric and acoustic guitar based songs with ambient soundtracks. The new double album due out in January 2025 is Mortality with 50 new tracks created over three years. New music is constantly being produced and demos can be found at the Strangefates Website and the Didier Soyuz Facebook Page before they are officially released.
