Strangerfamiliar is the moniker for Chilean born, Canadian raised musician and visual artist, Ilichna Morasky. A one woman band building ethereal vocal, ukulele, drum, and synth loops, Strangerfamiliar’s sound is much like drifting into a dream of an isolated neon church deep in an Amazonian jungle. Dubbed crypop or crance music: a new genre for when you want to dance and cry at the same time. Her sound has been compared to tUnE-yArDs, Kate Bush and Fever Ray.
