Strawman & the Jackdaws

Strawman & The Jackdaws is an Indie/Folk band formed in the year 2017. Their music has many different influences: from catchy pop atmospheres to heavier distorted riffs, with an ever-present element of folk melodic lines. One of the band's strengths is the interaction with the audience during live performances.
After releasing two singles, the band released their debut EP "F∇X" on 22 January 2021, followed by an official video featuring the best moments from the live shows done up to the release. Previously, the band had already released two official videos to promote the previous singles.
The EP has received numerous reviews and articles from national and international magazines; it was nominated album of the month by the Italian Brainstorming Magazine and reached the first position both in the bestseller digital album category and in the Folk digital album category on Amazon.it.
Between May and June 2019 the band completed their first Irish-British tour (Dublin, Galway, Monaghan, Cork, Limerick, Belfast), selling out three out of six shows. They then embarked on their first Italian tour in some of the country's major cities (Turin, Belluno, Milan), selling out two out of three shows.
Due to the recent health crisis, the band had to postpone their first Russian tour, scheduled for March 2020, and summer shows in Ireland, Italy and the UK to a date yet to be confirmed. In December 2020 the band recorded their new single which will be released soon.
