Originally from San Jose, CA S9 started rapping at the age of 11. Taken under the wing of his uncle China from
China'z Cabinet Studio, by the age 18, S9 released his 1st group album Big Gamezmen titled "Go'n Big Time" in 2001. By 21 he released another group album "PDR Superstars" titled "Hard On The World" in 2003. 2004 he started producing & engineering his own music. In 2005 S9 moved to Kansas City, MO. S9 worked with artist like Kurupt from The Dogg Pound, J Stalin, Mistah F.A.B., J Diggs, The Jacka, C-Bo, Messy Marv, Kansas City’s own Marley Young & more. He has also shared the stage with some of the industries best such as the late great Mac Dre, E-40, Too Short, Currensy, Digital Underground & many more. On April 4th 2017 S9 released his 1st debut solo album "Blame It On The Hood" which quickly gained notoriety throughout the midwest. Two weeks after his release, he was a victim of gun violence & was shot 9 times on April 28th 2017. Surviving surgery & 4 days of acoma, he was released from the hospital 7 days later on May 5th 2017. Since then he has made a full recovery & is back in the studio producing & writing for is next solo project. Teaming up with Animal House Muzik producer “Ryan Scales” on March 6, 2019 S9 released his 1st single titled "Hulk Hogan" featuring “Jackpot Flexx” for his 2nd up & coming album “7 Day Testament”. Most say his music is compared to Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti & Lil Baby, but with soulful stories compared to the late great poetic Tupac Shakur
