Strolling Wizards's music display influences of rock, blues, and soul with a dash of country. The result is distinct sounds with overdrive guitar, punchy bass lines and a touch of brass to further spice things up.
Started off casually in Tempe, Arizona, Reza Arfandy (vocal & guitar) and Widyawan Pratadaja (bass) began to pursue music more seriously in 2011 in New York City.
Joined by seasoned drummer Jeff Cane Barton, they began to play in notable venues such as The Piano, Pete Candy Store, Banjo Jim and The Delancey as 12:23.
Soon 12:23 was able to secure an opportunity to record their music in Brooklyn's Rough Magic Studios. With Alby Cohen producing, the band recorded two original tracks titled "I'm OK" and "Be Allright", in collaboration with many notable musicians such as Jeff Cane Barton (The Gold Magnolia), Maurice Brown (Mobetta,Tedeschi Truck Band), Matt Whyte (Earl and The Greyhound), Alex Asher and Drew Sayers (The Superpower Horns), Mela Machinko.
In 2013, Reza and Widyawan returned to Indonesia and formed Strolling Wizards. Currently, they are supported by Alfonsus Prabandanu on drums, Chala Aflino on rhythm guitar and Rocky Marinus on trumpet. Strolling Wizards continue to create and perform music together.
