Since being thrown together to create a wedding song in 2014, Stuart Leathem and Esther Trousdale have gone on to create a sound so unique it defies being placed in any genre bracket.
Stuart’s epic blend of electronica and live instrumentation blends seamlessly with Esther’s powerful voice to create music that has been streamed and downloaded in over 110 countries worldwide by over 3m people.
Their single ‘Little Freddie Goes to School’ featured vocals by Freddie Mercury, making Esther Trousdale the first female to duet with Freddie on record since the great Montserrat Caballe in 1988.
After a 2 year hiatus they re-entered the studio in 2017 to create the epic ‘Experiments in Energy’ album. Released in February 2020 to critical acclaim.
As an extra little treat for fans they have used theof lockdown to revisit an unfinished track, 'Sting in the Tail'.
In December 2021 Stuart & Esther surprised us all with a re-working of ‘Little Freddie Goes to School’ complete with a stunning animated music video and vinyl release.
After a long wait, Stuart and Esther are about to release their incredible album and limited vinyl 'Watching Other People Having Fun' on 3rd November, preceded by the pop single 'Never Dream of `me', coming 9 August.
Stuart Leathem & Esther Trousdale both hail from Bangor in Northern Ireland where they still reside and create their music. Stuart also composes for film and TV, and Esther is a classically trained soprano.
