A UK-born vocalist and producer who merges the Feel of 90's Boom Bap with UK Grime and influences of Funk, Jazz, and Punk music, based in South London.
An old soul at heart, the cat started in the sleepy country town of Frome before moving to Bristol for university and forming the Gundhi Brothers with Indian Man, where celebrating diversity became a core part of the groups message. Studio Cat went on to move to South London, working as a music teacher in Tottenham, supporting up-and-coming artists has always been a huge part of the Cat's identity.
A traveller at heart, the Cat has just returned from Bali working with Red Pill Audio on developing groundbreaking new audio hardware and content. He has always taken musical influence from his travels, in particular explorations to Indonesia, Morocco, New Zealand, and across Europe.
As well as being a songwriter, Studio Cat writes scripts, poems, and spoken word. The cat's musical journey started in his lyricism, and many of his songs are narrative led, as he paints vivid pictures to convey his own philosophies.
Expect to explore themes such as the social state of the UK, spirituality, the celebration of diversity and relationships, as well as appreciating the fun life can offer you! As his name suggests, the cat is happiest both when curled up on the sofa with a good book or prowling stages at night, performing to fellow lovers of alternate thought and counter culture.
