Matching the shabby town vibes of the heavily war-struck Kassel with Californian
skatepunk imagery sounds like a bad idea, an impossible task, right? but that's
exactly the basic concept of the Casselfornian Punkrock formation STURDY.
Their latest release (Messed up -aired May '19) is the result of their Finland-
Tour 2017 aftermath, following private struggle, failure and deprivation,
channeld into a 11 piece full-length, recorded at the Abandonend Ghost City Recordings facility with Kind Kaputt guitarist Konstantin Cajkin as their producer. Some say they sound more like those contemporary midwestern punkrock bands by now, but nevertheless the californian rootkit is still present. Whatever, check out 'Messed up' and you'll know what I mean.
