“Kısmet is a debut album—an unruly narrative circling not around identities but the shared states of being human.
It is made up of nine songs in Turkish lyric form, structurally fractured, at times emotionally heavy, or bursting with energy.
All the sounds I’ve heard, the faces I’ve seen, the things that pierced through me—accumulated and collided with what I encountered along the way, eventually becoming this album.
Wrong timings, unfinished thoughts, broken sentences, falling too much, overthinking.
And all the other malfunctions of fate: our Kısmet.
