Suaveashell began his journey in music at 17, crafting his first rhymes under the name Chamus. From the start, he embraced a hands-on approach, producing his own beats and sharing his insights online through meticulously written bars. Music, for Suave, has always been more than sound—it's a ritual of self-expression and exploration.
At 18, Suave joined the Kumori collective, contributing to the 18-track mixtape Kumori Tapes x TPNS, a boom-bap-infused project where lyrics took center stage.
After relocating to Edinburgh—the land of whisky and bagpipes—Suaveashell was born. The name, inspired by J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye, represents a space where contradictions converge: soft yet unrelenting, introspective yet bold. This evolution marked a new chapter, where his music became an ongoing conversation with the self, a medium to reconcile complexities and celebrate imperfections.
Today, Suaveashell collaborates with Blank Faze, TPNS, Kopp, and Malísimo Dutty (Long Live Restored Link!), among others. Together, they craft tracks that balance raw authenticity with sonic exploration, drawing listeners into a world where every line has weight and every beat tells a story.
