SUBFICTION

SUBFICTION is a veiled artist and guide of absorbing audiovisual worlds. Worlds that consist of organic elements, contaminated by technology. Exploring musical landscapes beyond genres. The guide, SUBFICTION, controls these worlds through live performance and provides the audience an interface between fiction and reality. The universal creature demolishes every dancefloor glitching between melancholic breakbeats, IDM, house and hiphop.

So, now that the geek squad is satisfied, let us focus on the crazy club kids. SUBFICTION provides your naughty nightly escapades with some of the most sub-soakin’ breakbeats and flashy, futuristic visuals. In 2022 SUBFICTION toured almost all Dutch pop venues withs it’s friends form De Likt and seemed to appear and disappear, often unannounced, at festivals and parties. The first single ‘No Return’ was released and followed up by the accompanying Visual EP ‘SOLO’ in February 2023.

SUBFICTION joined the Popronde as a 3voor12 Talent and released it’s second EP ‘weird glitches ‘n’ different shakes’, containing the single ‘switch/glitch’ in November. The first EP showed a more serious, borderline pretentious side of SUBFICTION, presenting a melancholic sound, with ambient influences. On the second EP, the artist switches and glitches between genres as bubbling, breakbeat, house and trap. SUBFICTION is breaking genre rules, BPM limitation and other nonsensical guidelines of modern-day club music on it.
