Substance is a music producer from Sherbrooke, QC Canada. After discovering PK sound and the Canadian West Coast Rave Culture back in 2011, what started as a hobby took a massive turn when he started promoting his own parties with some friends under DirtyCake in 2012.
Booking some of dubstep's biggest names in the likes of Truth, Goth Trad, Hatcha and many more, Substance and his crew helped create a community of bass lovers in his hometown providing an audience to upcoming legends such as Wraz. After 10 years of promoting shows and working at many festivals around Canada, He rapidly started garnering support for his own productions from some of the
biggest labels in the scene with releases on Sentry Records, Deep Dark & Dangerous, Wheel & Deal & Nomine Sound.
Now with releases on Labels such as Boogie T’s Drama Club Recording, Forthcomings on J:Kenzo’s Artikal Records and collaborations with Antennae, Abstrakt Sonance & many more coming up in 2025. Substance is reaching new levels with his tunes showing he can do many genres of bass music.
You can catch him co-hosting his Twitch stream show with Wraz called Gunfingaz Thursday which quickly became a staple for upcoming Dj’s & Producer in the dubstep scene across North America showcasing new talents every week. With past performances at some of the best Festivals in North America such as Shambhala Music Festival, Bass Coast, Infrasound & Lightning in a Bottle, Substance solidifies his status as a must see in the bass family.
