Suffocate Faster

Inspired by the confluence of metal and straight-edge hardcore perpetrated by the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:4ITkzAQWPILwWpEWJxHB9g" data-name="Earth Crisis">Earth Crisis</a>, Floorpunch and Disembodied, Cincinnati, OH&#39;s Suffocate Faster was formed in the fall of 2001 by vocalist Chris Alsip, guitarist Chris Towning, bassist Josh Secrest, and drummer <a href="spotify:artist:03kdeutlLwv4JZ8RAaFDui" data-name="Joey Ray">Joey Ray</a>. Three years later, the band released their debut album, Only Time Will Tell, and promptly set out on tour with <a href="spotify:artist:1zABhVAXI7p40y57hnfDlV" data-name="Full Blown Chaos">Full Blown Chaos</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3LkSiHbjqOHCKCqBfEZOTv" data-name="Atreyu">Atreyu</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:41btkKEfOGIHsd7WNahMCi" data-name="Bleeding Through">Bleeding Through</a>, among others; the sophomore set, Don&#39;t Kill the Messenger, was released in 2006 by 1981 Records. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi… Fast forward to 2019, SXF decided to write new music and play more shows. They have 2 new releases that debuted in 2023 via Smartpunk records…
