Embodying their name, SUGARFUNGUS has been releasing bedroom indie pop productions that capture sugary sweet vocal hooks floating on top of dreamy grooves since 2021. The Vancouver, Canada based collective’s music can best be described as HighClouds blog aptly writes: “Dancy dreampop for the haunted and heartbroken.” Their journey began in isolation, with the band members collaborating remotely to produce their first EP. Despite never meeting in person initially, their creative synergy transcended physical distance, resulting in the captivating debut self released EP "Letting Go, Moving Still" in 2022. The release garnered attention from notable radio stations such as CBC and KEXP, marking a milestone for the ethereal quintet. Now, poised for their next chapter, the band is set to unveil their inaugural full-length album, "A Known Thing," on June 4, 2024.
