Born in an outdoor storage unit near of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Sugartone Noise Co. refuses to give up on dirty, bluesy riff-driven rock and roll. Every sultry groove and hummable, head-bangable melody on their latest release, Local Band Asked to Leave, is tied tight to that greasy old 70's sound that drove the trio of reunited high school classmates to start writing music in the first place.
That trio is Ian McDonough (guitar/vocals), Peter Cook (bass/ keyboards), and Carlon Parmelee (drums). They've spent the last couple of years carving out their sound and cutting their teeth in raucous backroom shows, and they're not stopping anytime soon.
