Terry and Terry became friends because of having so much in common with their showbusiness history. They started singing in venues around Thanet, Kent. On the suggestion of mutual friends, they formed Suited and Booted with the idea of reviving variety in the Kent area, to sing various genres of music, including country, pop, rock and roll and reggae. They even include circus skills and dance routines plus comedy sketches in their two man show, which is detailed on their website.

Terry Jones was a champion ballroom Latin and disco dancer, and choreographer with his own dance teams. He competed against the Len Goodman School of Dance and won many medals. He has danced at Hammersmith Palais, and the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom many times. Terry Bunton spent thirty years touring as trapeze artist Cloudswing Comanche becoming Britain`s most televised trapeze artist in the 1990s. He has appeared at Blackpool Tower Ballroom and Circus, and tours in Europe, before returning to his love of musicals performing lead roles in shows from My Fair Lady to Evita.
